I will not waste your time to tell you how I would vote on every issue. Without a time machine, candidates for office cannot predict nor promise what each vote will be on each bill presented in the future. What’s more important, and I can say with absolute certainty, is that I will base all decisions on these guiding principles:

Freedom

• The government’s primary function is to protect its people, the land and the pursuit of happiness.

Less Government and More Efficiency

• The government that governs the least, governs best.
• The government should not perform functions better performed by non-governmental entities.
• The government should protect a free market, not try to control it, compete with it or over-regulate it.

Personal Responsibility

• People are responsible and accountable for their actions.
• Taxpayers should not foot the bill for the poor decisions of others.
• Laws do not create good citizens, people do.

A Balanced Checkbook

• Government should always cut expenses before raising taxes and fees.
• Before laws and regulations are passed, ALL effects must be considered carefully and disclosed publicly.

Equal Chance to Succeed

• Each individual must have the equal opportunity to achieve, without a guarantee for a particular outcome.
• Laws should protect, not stifle progress.
